The Thunderbird mail client is generally suggested for debugging connection issues.

IMAP is the default mailbox type. It includes mores storage and your emails are kept on the server, meaning they are easily accessible from multiple devices.

POP is enabled on all mailboxes for legacy usage. Please be aware that, by default, most POP clients will delete mail from the server once it has downloaded a copy. Please check your client's settings to ensure mail performs asexpected.

Please be aware that many versions of Outlook default to an alternate SMTP port and this will result in errors.
Email is scanned and filtered based on a number of factors to try and reduce unwanted and harmful messages making it to your inbox. Unfortunaterly, this cannot be 100% effective and some messages will still be delivered to you, please exercise caution when clicking on links or attachments.
If you need to change your personal mail settings you can access your mailbox management. It's recommended to add an alternative email address for password recovery purposes.
Webmail is available at https://webmail.beupwardly.uk/ and requires your full email address for the username and your password.
